CLEARFIELD – Construction will soon begin on the eastbound lanes of interstate 80 between the Falls Creek/DuBois and Clearfield exits this weekend.
According to PennDOT, starting Saturday, contractors will begin milling, joint repair, and paving on I-80 eastbound between mile markers 114 and 120.
One lane will be closed for construction, with crews rotating lanes once completed.
Construction is expected to last a month.
PennDOT is currently working on the westbound lanes to complete reconstruction of the Goshen Road and Flegal Road overpasses.
Work is expected to continue through the end of August Contractors will also reduce Route 153 to a single lane near the Clearfield-Penfield interchange for preparation for on/off ramps on each side of the interstate.
