Houtzdale – A Houtzdale man is facing multiple charges after he and his four dogs caused serious injuries to a state trooper Tuesday night.
According to reports, the state trooper was responding to a theft report at a Woodward Township house. That is where 45-year-old George Suhoney started arguing with the trooper and eventually became physically aggressive.
Suhoney reportedly threw a metal carpenter’s square at the trooper, punched him in the face, and tried to remove the trooper’s gun from his duty belt.
As they struggled, the trooper was also attacked by Suhoney’s four large dogs.
The injured trooper was treated at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital for multiple injuries to his legs, arms, face and right ear.
Suhoney is charged with aggravated assault, felony disarming a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest.
He is in the Clearfield County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing on October 5th .
