HORTON TOWNSHIP – A Horton Township man is behind bars after allegedly strangling a woman.
On June 15th Ridgway State Police responded to reports of a domestic dispute at a Route 219 home in Brockport.
Once on scene police learned from the female victim that she and 48 year-old Shawn Marche allegedly got into a verbal argument that turned physical with Marche strangling her. She allegedly slapped him to stop the strangulation, he then fled before police arrived.
He was later arrested and charged with felony strangulation, and simple assault. His bail was set at $10,000 dollars.
