DUBOIS – A lifetime of dedication to DuBois was recognized as Dr. Tom Petraitis received the Jaycees Distinguished Service Award.
Living most of his life in the DuBois area, Dr. Petraitis spent decades giving back to the community. Guided by his faith, he served on the United Way, the Chamber of Commerce, and a Consolidation Committee. He also volunteered with the Mission of Mercy to provide free dental care to those in need.
“It has been an absolute privilege and a pleasure to receive this from a community that I have loved for my entire life,” explained Dr. Petraitis. “And I feel that the community moving forward in its consolidation efforts is going to be a huge success.”
Also recognized, Scotty’s Donuts won the Small Business of the Year Award for their continued community support.
The Community Cup Award was awarded to the DuBois Salvation Army, who has been helping families across the DuBois community for over a centry
