Barnett Township, PA – The Hominy Ridge Lodge in Cook Forest was destroyed in a fire Thursday night, but thankfully there were no injuries.
Fire crews were called out to the lodge and store on Route 36 just after 7 p.m. Thursday.
Pinecreek Township, Brookville, Corsica, Farmington Township, Marienville and Washington Township volunteer fire departments as well as Jefferson County EMS and Red Cross all assisted at the scene.
Hominy Ridge Lodge and Cabins posted on their Facebook page that the owners’ home and the store were destroyed, but most of the cabins are still able to be rented.
The post says, “Please pray for our family that we can get through this as we have lost everything but our cabins.. We are all OK! The cats are all OK as well.”
The PA State Police Fire Marshall is still investigating the cause of the fire.
