DUBOIS – Next month, you are invited to take time and reflect on a familiar sight in DuBois
On Thursday March 12th, the Hometown Heroes Banners that have lined the streets for several years will be returned to families, honoring nearly 290 local veterans.
The banner retirement and appreciation ceremony begins at 6pm at the DuBois VFW.
“We want these to be very respectful and to actually honor our heroes,“ explained Executive Director of Downtown DuBois Shirley Dahrouge.
This is not the end however, as a new, slightly different banner program is planned later this year.
