Homeless Count Down in Clearfield/Jefferson Counties

UNDATED – A count of homelessness in Clearfield and Jefferson Counties have shown a decrease in the past year.

This count, done by numerous agencies, has volunteers look for homeless individuals and take a point in time count measuring the trends locally.

This year, the count showed eight unsheltered individuals in Clearfield County, down by six, and one in Jefferson County, up from the zero recorded last year.

The lower numbers are expected due to the colder winter weather, leading to less volunteers during the count
