DUBOIS – A federal case against the City of DuBois’ former City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio and former city employee Roberta “Bobbie” Shaffer has been postponed.
Initially scheduled for October 1st, the duo has requested a continuation due to scheduling conflicts, which was not opposed by Assistant United States Attorney Nicole Vasquez Schmitt.
Last Wednesday, the duo were Indicted on even more charges spanning a longer timeline with more than $1.5 million dollars in alleged stolen funds.
The indictment alleged that between May of 2008 and March of 2022 Suplizio and Shaffer had opened bank accounts unknown to any city worker, then funneled money from city resources.
At the time of reporting we do not have any confirmation on a new arraignment time.
