DUBOIS – The DuBois Salvation Army is seeking to raise $100,000 dollars this holiday season to fund their food pantry and provide needed service aid for local families in need.

Captain Brianne Spooner told us that community support is crucial especially during the holiday season.

“We really need volunteers to ring the bell, and we need people to put some money in that kettle so we can stretch every dollar to help our neighbors all year long,” explained Captain Spooner

You can help out the Salvation Army by donating high-demand items like cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned meats, and soups at their 119 south Jared Street location.

They say that these contributions help support their food pantry and programs that help families in need.
