Getting More Grants in DuBois/Sandy Township

DUBOIS/SANDY TOWNSHIP – Both the DuBois City Council and Sandy Township Board of Supervisors have agreed to utilize the DuBois Redevelopment Authority to seek out grants for the new city.

The agreement will have the RDA, led by Joe Mitchell, handle the grant writing process in what Co-Manager Ben Kafferlin says is different than the Clearfield RDA we already utilize.

“We are swamped with the consolidation work,“ explained Kafferlin. “And we at the same time recognize that the future City of DuBois needs grants in the hopper today. So that once the new city is in place, we’re actually working on projects and making progress.”

Both the City and Township will pay the RDA a total of $3,000 dollars each every month until a percentage agreement can be made.
