ALLPORT – A funeral for the Clearfield County teen who died in a house fire earlier this week will be Sunday afternoon.

Asher Deets was a 17-year-old student at West Branch High School. Deets passed away when flames ripped through a Morris Township house early Monday morning.

West Branch Principal Brandy O’Hare said, “Asher was new to the West Branch community, but right away he had a huge impact. He had a great smile, a great personality. He was very likable and just had that personality that he could connect with with any group of kids.”

The school district is having a donation drive to help Asher’s father, Aaron Keeler, who lost all of his possessions in the fire. West Branch Superintendent Mark Mitchell says, “The response to the call for help has been overwhelming.”

The funeral for Asher Deets is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm at the Gethsemane Church in Allport.
