CLEARFIELD – Penn Highlands in Clearfield will be hosting a free cataract screening event next week.
On Thursday from 4pm to 5:30pm you can go to the Penn Highlands Eye Center in Clearfield to have your eyes checked for the common ailment.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, cataracts are formed when the lens of an eye gets cloudy limiting the amount of light going into the eye. Common symptoms of the ailment include blurring vision, sensitivity to light, and even loss of vision.
Cataracts are most common in people above the age of 60, however, anyone can develop the ailment.
