CLEARFIELD – A former Curwensville High School baseball coach was sentenced to serve up to 31 years in state prison for the sexual assault of two young boys.
According to court documents, 49-year-old Thomas Harzinski was also classified as a sexually violent predator during Wednesday’s court proceedings. Harzinski pleaded guilty to the sexual assault of an 11-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy on multiple occasions at Harzinski’s home, at a Pittsburgh hotel, and at a campground in Williamsport.
In addition to a 13-to-31 year prison sentence, Harzinski also received 15 years of probation, an order to complete sex offender counseling, and he must register with law enforcement under Megan’s Law.
