A former Clearfield County resident Brady Burkett, 29, faces murder charges in Amarillo, Texas.
He was arrested on July Fourth for the death of 4-year-old Wesson Grist in 2022. Authorities allege Burkett fatally injured the boy by compressing his body during an incident last August. This isn’t Burkett’s first encounter with the law; previously, he was arrested in 2018 for setting fires at a trailer court in Sandy Township out of frustration over unemployment.
Burkett’s bail is set at $750,000.
