Fire that destroyed sawmill in Clarion County still under investigation

Washington Township, PA – The fire marshal is still investigating what caused the fire that destroyed a sawmill in Clarion County.

The fire started early Saturday morning, around 2 a.m., at Allegheny Wood Products on Route 208 in Marble, Washington Township.

The flames originated inside the structure, but the cause is still unknown.

Damage is estimated at $3 million. The victim does have insurance.

There were no injuries.
