Fire heavily damages house in west Sandy Township

Sandy Township, PA – Early yesterday morning, a house caught fire on Old Woods Road in the western part of Sandy Township.

Fire crews from North Point Fire Company were called out around 2:25 a.m. yesterday and stayed on scene for about three hours to fight the flames.

They extinguished the fire and vented the attic, but the fire caused heavy damage.

There’s no official word about if anyone suffered from smoke inhalation or how the fire started.

Reports say the family was able to escape safely.
