CURWENSVILLE – A family of four has been displaced after an early Wednesday fire destroyed a Curwensville home.
Just before 6am, crews received reports of a house fire at the 600 block of Filbert Street. Once on scene, police discovered the home was completely engulfed in flames.
First responders were able to safely evacuate all residents. Reports say that around 15 cats and two dogs were at the residence, it is unknown if they all were rescued.
After multiple hours crews were able to extinguish the blaze. The Fire Marshal is currently investigating the fire’s origin.
The house has been deemed a complete loss.
