Fire destroys camp in Elk County, incendiary in nature

Highland Township, PA – A camp was burned down in Elk County recently.

It happened just after midnight early in the morning on April 2 at a one-story camp along Weikal Lane and Pigs Ear Road in Highland Township.

An investigation showed that the fire had started on the inside of the camp building.

It was determined to be incendiary in nature, meaning someone purposefully set it.

Damage is estimated at $5,000.

There were no injuries.
