RIDGWAY – One man is dead following a single vehicle accident in Ridgway Monday.
According to police at 10:33am a vehicle driving north on Grant Road had traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver of the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. The passenger, 20 year-old Mason Neureiter, was wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Ridgway Fire Department, Neureiter was a 3rd generation volunteer firefighter at their station.
No more information was released by police.
