
Washington Township, PA – A Falls Creek man is recovering from his injuries after he struck a deer while riding his motorcycle earlier this week.
According to State Police in DuBois, 35-year-old Michael Roush from Falls Creek had been riding his Honda Magna motorcycle along Airport Road in Washington Township, Jefferson County, around 5:30 a.m. Monday morning.
He slowed down when he noticed a deer entering the roadway. However, the deer jumped into the path of the motorcycle and was struck.
Police say Roush attempted to kick the deer and injured his leg during the crash.
He had been wearing a helmet, but he suffered a broken right leg and was taken to UPMC Altoona by Jefferson County EMS.
Roush was cited for driving while his license was suspended or revoked.
