FALLS CREEK – It’s black bear hunting season in Pennsylvania, and for the eighth straight year the Falls Creek Fire Department is hosting a Pennsylvania Game Commission bear check station.
Organizers say Game Commission agents will be checking harvested bears at the fire hall in Falls Creek on today and Sunday, from 10am to 8 pm both days.
The Falls Creek Fire Department is also having various activities through the weekend, and on Monday.
The activities include a chicken barbeque on Sunday, free door prize drawings, a raffle, food, and a patch program for Scouts and anyone under the age of 18.
The bear check station and all the activities are at the Falls Creek Fire Department building on First Street.
