FALLS CREEK – As the hunt for black bear begins in Pennsylvania, the Falls Creek Fire Department is getting ready to host a Pennsylvania Game Commission bear check station.
Organizers say Game Commission agents will be checking harvested bears at the fire hall in Falls Creek on Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 8 pm both days.
The Falls Creek Fire Department is also having various activities this weekend, and on Monday.
The activities include a chicken barbeque on Sunday, free door prize drawings, a raffle, food, and a patch program for Scouts and anyone under the age of 18.
The bear check station and all the activities will be held at the Falls Creek Fire Department building on First Street.
