Escaped Clearfield County Jail inmate faces additional prison time

CLEARFIELD – The Lemont man who escaped the Clearfield County Jail for nearly eight hours in May is facing additional state prison time for his actions.

According to court documents, 36-year-old Craig Hauke-Miller was sentenced on Friday to two-to-seven years on a charge of felony escape.

Hauke-Miller also pleaded guilty to felony theft and criminal trespass for an incident at a Clearfield County gas station in February.

The total sentence handed down by Judge Paul Cherry is three-to-14 years in state prison, five years of probation, and a payment of more than $6,800 in restitution to the gas station.

Hauke-Miller is also facing charges of fleeing from police in two Clinton County cases.
