ST. MARYS – School officials in Elk County received an anonymous tip Monday that there was a possible threat.
According to the St. Marys School District’s Facebook page, word about the potential threat came through the “Safe 2 Say” tip system during the middle of the school day.
St. Marys district officials took immediate safety measures in cooperation with the State Police, St. Marys Police Department, and Elk County Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation quickly resolved the threat situation and found that St. Marys students, staff, or family members were not in immediate danger.
