RIDGWAY – Two men are facing several charges after allegedly falsifying a marriage certificate.
According to police, an investigation was launched into a possible fraud between 43 year-old Johnsonburg resident Colin Layne and a woman housed at the Elk County Jail.
When questioning the woman, she allegedly told police that she and Layne were trying to get married but was not able to since she was imprisoned.
Police then questioned 25 year-old Weston Lobell, who certified the certificate, he then allegedly told police that he filled out the form without both parties present.
Now both men are facing felony forgery charges with Bail set at $15,000 dollars.
