HomeCrimeElk County man faces solicitation charges after trying to message teenagerElk County man faces solicitation charges after trying to message teenagerTue, October 11, 2022 by Louise BennettSHARE NOW Weedville — For the third time in less than a month a man has been caught allegedly trying to meet a 15-year-old girl for sex in the Tri-County area.27-year-old Devon McClintick of Weedville, Elk County is the latest person arrested as a result of the efforts by the social media group “814 Pred Hunters.”Police say the “814 Pred Hunters” group provided authorities with multiple messages and pictures sent by McClintick to who he believed was a 15-year-old girl.When interviewed by the police, McClintick confessed to sending the messages and pictures.He is facing charges of solicitation of a minor.Bail is set at $100,000 for McClintick who is currently in the Elk County Prison.His preliminary hearing is scheduled for today.Two men were arrested in the Clearfield area the past few weeks based on similar evidence provided by the “814 Pred Hunters” group.
