WILCOX – Two Elk County men are behind bars after allegedly attempting to hire the other to kill his wife.
According to police, a pastor had contacted them after 45 year-old David Vanatta confessed to him that he allegedly paid 32 year-old Colton Baird $2,000 dollars to kill his ex wife.
When questioned, both men allegedly confessed to the interaction.
They are now both being held in the Elk County Jail facing multiple charges including criminal solicitation, conspiracy, and criminal attempt. A preliminary hearing is set for January 8th
