HORTON TWP. – Your daily commute could be impacted by the new phase of a months-long Elk County bridge replacement project.

According to PennDOT, traffic on Route 153 in Horton Township just 500 feet from the intersection with Route 219 is now being directed onto a temporary roadway.

The existing bridge spanning Toby Creek will be removed, and then construction of its replacement will begin.

PennDOT say to expect the temporary roadway to be in place until the project is completed in late October.
