DUBOIS – Yesterday was election day in the Tri-County area.

In the City of DuBois, Pat Reasinger was elected as the new mayor, while both Jennifer Jackson and Elliott Gelfand won the two available positions on city council.

In Sandy Township, Richard Whitaker was chosen as new township supervisor.

In the Clearfield County Commissioners’ race, the top three vote-getters were Tim Winters, as well as incumbents John Sobel, and Dave Glass.

In the race for Jefferson County Commission, the top three receiving votes were Scott North, Mark Humes, and Jeffrey Pisarcik.

In the statewide race for Supreme and Superior courts, the Democrats swept Tuesday’s elections with a very lopsided advantage in the number of mail-in votes. All of these election results are considered unofficial until they are certified by county and state boards of elections.
