WOODARD TOWNSHIP – A father-son duo were arrested by State Police last week after allegedly starting a police chase while under the influence.
According to police, on March 4th troopers attempted to pull over a vehicle after a Blue SUV turned around at a standard sobriety checkpoint in Woodard Township at which point a pursuit started.
After some time police managed to perform a PIT maneuver at which point officers were able to arrest the driver, 55 year-old David McNeils Sr., the passenger, 27 year-old David McNeils Jr., allegedly attempted to run before being caught by officers.
Officers noticed a glass smoking device on McNeils Jr and on the floor of the vehicle, in addition to an open beer can in the center console. Both men also had arrest warrants.
Both were sent to the Clearfield County Jail awaiting a March 12th preliminary hearing.
