DUBOIS – If you were expecting changes to your DuBois water bills soon, you’re going to have to wait a little longer.
City Manager Ben Kafferlin says the switch to billing based on your exact water usage is not ready yet. While the goal is still to charge you for every gallon you use, technology issues are slowing things down.
“I think we have established that it can be done, but we are still weeks or months away from making that happen.”
For now, your bill will stay the same while the city works to reprogram meters and billing systems. The earliest you might see a change is around July, but that is not guaranteed.
This month, no late fees will be charged on your bills after a billing issue caused incorrect due dates.
