DUBOIS – Around 70 trees are going to be planted across the City of DuBois this weekend, in an effort to beautify the municipality.
DuBois Mayor Patrick Reasinger has put out the call for volunteers to help plant the multitude of trees in prominent areas of the city.
“If you drive up Maple Avenue and Main Street, you can see white marks on the curb. And you can see white flags in the dirt,“ explained Mayor Reasinger. “That is where they are going to be planted. There’s seven in the park, and one at S&T parking lot, but most of them are on Main and Maple.”
This Saturday, November 9th beginning at 8 am, the Mayor and 3 person volunteer crews consisting of shovels, wheelbarrows, and trucks will begin planting the trees.
