DUBOIS – Over $1.2 million dollars in outdoor construction projects have been funded by the DuBois School Board.
In March, we reported that the district planned on crafting a new walkway to the athletic fields at the High School, which has now been approved for $317,720 dollars.
In addition, the district has approved $930,435.29 dollars to repave and resurface the High School Track, in what Board Member Gilbert Barker says is a much needed improvement.
“We have portions of the track that have been worn a great deal and it’s just time to replace it,” explained Barker. “We’ve gotten some great use out of that track behind the school. This will just make it a safe surface for all of the participants and of course address those issues.”
The current track was installed around 40 years ago.
