DUBOIS – At the DuBois Area School Board work session meeting Thursday night, the board reviewed the district’s comprehensive plan for the next three years and will soon vote on its 2023-2024 tax resolution.
Superintendent Wendy Benton said her team has been working since the end of last spring to complete the comprehensive plan, which focuses on ELA, career readiness, and social, emotional, and mental well-being of students.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires school districts to update their plans every three years. The plan is scheduled to go into effect on July 1.
At the DuBois Area School Board meeting next Thursday, the Board will vote on their 2023-2024 tax resolution.
The resolution declares that the school district will not raise taxes more than the 5.5% index established by the Department of Education in order to balance its final budget.
