DUBOIS – Traffic signal improvements are in store for two DuBois area intersections.

According to State Representative Mike Armanini, the City of DuBois and Sandy Township have been approved to receive grants as part of Pennsylvania’s ‘Green Light-Go’ program.

A grant of more than $310,000 has been awarded to DuBois for the modernization of traffic signal equipment at the intersection of Liberty Boulevard and Beaver Drive. In Sandy Township, more than $485,000 will be used to make improvements to the traffic signal where Brady Street and Dixon Avenue meet.

Both municipalities are required to provide a minimum 20-percent match of the grant total.
