DUBOIS – The consolidation of DuBois and Sandy Township is into full swing.

At Wednesday night’s Joint Board meeting, the municipalities agreed that their accounting systems will be aligned by the end of this year. It was also agreed that the annual budget for DuBois and Sandy Township moving forward will consist of three major funds: a general fund, sewer fund, and water fund.

Board members also heard about two alternatives being investigated for the consolidated Administration and Police Department facilities. Both ideas would include renovations to the existing DuBois and Sandy municipal buildings. Floor plans and budgets will be presented at next month’s meeting.
