The Red Kettle campaign assists with affording social services in the DuBois area. So far, $64,000 has been raised with a goal of $70,000 by December 23rd.

The Salvation Army has been active since 1865 and is established in more than one hundred countries worldwide. Serving local communities in need is the Salvation Army’s mission. The Red Kettle Campaign has been active in DuBois since 1892.

Andrew Spooner and Brianne Spooner, DuBois Salvation Army Captains, have served for the past 12 years. “I love what they do, their mission, and the lives they have changed. People that are involved don’t just talk about change, you really see change happen,” stated Captain Andrew Spooner. Alongside the campaign, the DuBois Salvation Army serves 180 local families monthly with emergency food and continues accepting donations for non-perishable items. Additionally, they support the community year-round with their Love in a Backpack program that provides meals to children.
