DUBOIS – Questions about the future of the Liberty Boulevard waterfall and ongoing water billing concerns highlighted last night’s DuBois City Council meeting.
The city is now accepting tax-deductible donations to help pay for restoring the waterfall, but residents asked for more details on the estimated cost and project timeline.
City officials answered saying they are waiting for final bids, but something must be done to that area.
“I think that was an icon for our city,” explained Mayor Barry Abbot. “If we don’t do it, we put rocks in, whatever it is. But we have to do something to make that happen.”
Council also says that they continue to review water bills following consolidation, with any changes being discussed publicly before being implemented.
