DUBOIS – Two new ordinances proposed will revise where skill game facilities can operate in the City of DuBois.
According to Code Enforcement Officer Zac Lawhead, Council Bill 1994 and 1995, if implemented, would limit where skill game facilities can or cannot open.
“It will give us an opportunity to allow these types of operations in a certain zoning district with very limited oversight,“ explained Lawhead. “And then in the other districts, they have to be accessory to a licensed facility, which would be anyone with a liquor license.”
Now, they will move forward with a public meeting to discuss the ordinances subject to some changes suggested by the zoning committee and reviewed by legal council.
