CLEARFIELD – A 22-year-old DuBois man has been sentenced to six months-to-one year in the county jail after pleading guilty last week to charges of robbery and assault.
According to Clearfield County Court documents, David Smith was accused of blocking a car near his driveway along a Brady Township road last October.
Smith allegedly pulled the driver out of the car, punched the male victim in the head, stole his phone, and then shot at the phone several times with a semi-automatic handgun.
Judge Paul Cherry also ordered Smith to pay nearly $1,600 in fines and restitution.
