SHARE NOW

DUBOIS — A DuBois man has been charged with theft by deception for allegedly accepting more than $4,000 for a roofing and awning job he did not complete.

According to City of DuBois Police, 46-year-old Leonard Bloom Sr. provided a DuBois woman a quote of $6,000 for the repair of a metal roof and awning on her house. Bloom is accused of accepting up-front payments of $4,600 from the victim, but never doing any work. Police say Bloom used the money for his own personal benefit.

Bloom is currently lodged in the Clearfield County Jail with bail set at $25,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 24th.
