DUBOIS — A 26-year-old DuBois man is facing rape charges after he allegedly admitted in an exchange of social media messages that he forced himself on the victim.
Police report that Dakota Cupp, who is currently an inmate at the Jefferson County Jail, is now charged with rape, sexual assault, and indecent assault in Clearfield County.
According to court documents, Cupp attacked the woman in her DuBois house’s bedroom after she told him to leave.
The following day, Cupp reportedly admitted to the assault and asked the victim to forgive him in an exchange of online messages.
Cupp’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for late September.
