DUBOIS – Charges of promoting prostitution have been filed against a DuBois man.
City of DuBois Police have accused 56-year-old David Shilala of sending a text message to a woman asking her to perform a sex act on another man and said she would be paid. The woman who received Shilala’s text reportedly died of a drug overdose in December.
According to court documents, the messages containing the offer of money in exchange for sex were found while the woman’s death was being investigated. Two felony charges and a misdemeanor charge were filed against Shilala in District Court in DuBois on Thursday.
