DUBOIS – You have less than a week to submit your registration to create and display your own scarecrow in the City of DuBois.
Hosted by Downtown DuBois, this contest will give you the opportunity to decorate your own scarecrow to be displayed along West Long Avenue for the fall months.
According to the Executive Director of Downtown DuBois, Shirley Dahrouge, so far there has been a lot of interest in the decorating contest.
Time is running out for you to get your chance to enter, as registration ends on Wednesday August 28th.
“We will be notifying everybody of which light post is theirs to decorate,“ explained Dahrough. “That will be out to everybody by September 6th, and then they have until September 15th to decorate the post. At that point then it goes live for voting. Voting will take place from September 15th through October 20th, following the end of the voting we will announce the winners at the Sunny106 Halloween parade. They will receive a trophy, some gift certificates from various downtown businesses, and of course bragging rights.”
You can find a registration form on the Downtown DuBois Facebook page, if you have any questions you can email Dahrough at [email protected], call 814 503-2481, or visit their Downtown DuBois office in the Sunny106 building at 12 West Long Avenue
