DUBOIS – The City of DuBois has agreed to a settlement with former Police Chief Blaine Clark.
According to documents on the city’s website, this settlement will pay Clark a total of $225,000 dollars to settle a lawsuit over his departure in April of 2024.
Clark originally filed the lawsuit in September of 2024 against the city, former Mayor Patrick Reasinger, former Councilwoman Jennifer Jackson, and former Councilman Elliot Gelfand, claiming that his due process was violated, whistleblower laws violated, and his contract breached.
As a part of this settlement the city does not have to admit to any wrongdoing and all named in the lawsuit will be dismissed from the case.
A judge will still have to decide whether Clark can continue serving as a volunteer with the DuBois Volunteer Fire Department.
