DUBOIS – The Downtown DuBois Scarecrow Light Pole Decorating Contest is returning for its third year.
Executive Director of Downtown DuBois, Shirley Dahrouge tells us that they are now accepting entries, encouraging local groups, businesses, and youth organizations to decorate a light pole and bring some fall spirit to the downtown.
She went on to say that last year’s contest saw double the participation.
“I would love to see it continue down West Long and fill all of downtown with some fall festival type spirit,” Dahrouge said.
The decorated poles will be on display from mid-September through October with the winner announced at the Sunny 106 Halloween Parade.
