DuBois – Felony child endangerment charges have been filed against a DuBois couple after their daughter collapsed and was found to have a variety of drugs in her system, including cocaine.
According to reports, both 46-year-old Kimberly Clark and 47-year-old Jason Shaffer will have a preliminary hearing on September 23rd.
Police were called to Clark’s home in Sandy Township on July 17th when the girl was found unresponsive.
An officer suspected an opioid overdose, administered Narcan to the girl, and called emergency medical services.
A follow-up report from Children, Youth and Family Services indicated that the girl tested positive for cocaine, THC, alcohol and 30 pills of an unknown substance in her system.
