DuBois Consolidation: One Month Later

DUBOIS – It has been one month since the City of DuBois and Sandy Township consolidated into one unified city.

We heard from DuBois Manager Ben Kafferlin who says that while the transition has gone great overall, the city has experienced some early challenges.

“Everything’s going pretty well with the exception of some technology issues,” explained Kafferlin. “It didn’t go as seamlessly as we’d hoped. In pretty much every other regard, it’s been going great.”

Kaffelin say those issues stem largely from delays in the city’s fiscal and software systems, a process he says that took longer than expected, however he added that the problems are being resolved and is optimistic to the strong future of the unified City of DuBois.
