DuBois — DuBois City Police officers will now be able to test suspected drugs without the potential danger of making contact with or inhaling the fumes of fentanyl.
A $10,000 ventilation hood and system has been purchased for the city police department through the Clearfield County District Attorney’s Drug Forfeiture Account.
The equipment will help protect officers from making contact with fentanyl or fentanyl-laced drugs which can be lethal.
Clearfield County DA Ryan Sayers said the system is an invaluable tool to help keep law enforcement officers safe as they investigate the ever-increasing drug-related crimes in the county.
