DuBois City Police help man having hallucinations on medication

DuBois, PA – DuBois City Police helped a man who was apparently having hallucinations due to medication.

Officers responded to a welfare check of a man on South Brady Street earlier this week.

He reported seeing people in his apartment that moved in several months ago, that won’t leave.

He told police that he would be standing outside holding a knife. Upon arrival, police say the man was nervous and insisted people were in his apartment. He put the knife down near the back porch.

Officers walked to his apartment and he advised everyone had left.

The unnamed man was believed to be having a side effect from a medication which causes hallucinations.

Everything and everyone was okay. Police left the scene without incident.
